Memories....

"We do not know the true value of our moments until they have undergone the test of memory."
                                                                                                By Georges Duhamel

Today I had a long chat with one of my college friends. We recalled many good memories related to our hostel, college. I felt too good.

You always feel comfortable if the other person is not going to judge you on the basis of your looks, skills and the biggest advantage talking to your friends is that you can discuss anything silly with them. They accept you the way you are and never impose any terms and conditions on you….

Now days most of my time went into office in doing some brain storming exercises for one consulting project.

Life is now limited to work only. There was the time when my best friend from college and I spent most of the time together. After completing our classes after 5 pm, we used to go for long walks. Sometimes I really miss all the gossips, fun, leg pulling...

Now we have everything except time. If someone asks me to recall my best memories, I will not talk about my education or the things I achieved at professional front. But I would definitely talk about my friends, my college life, and my childhood memories.

Memories are not made by achieving luxurious things. They are made by small things….

For me they are made in my first scooty, college bunking, long evening walks with friends, my first mobile gifted by my sister and so on….

Friday Effect!!!

Today I got first appreciation mail for my work in my new vertical. I felt great and realized that appreciation is necessary for boosting your spirit.

My work gets postponed to Monday because some of the critical resources were on leave. So I was relatively free and in the evening utilized my spare time by playing badminton.

Playing badminton is such a fun experience. I started playing badminton when I was in class VI. Then discontinue it during boards and competitive examinations preparation.

Luckily again I resumed this game after a gap of 2-3 years (although not regularly) and its credit goes to my current organization. It has a huge badminton court.

Today I lost all the matches because of my colleague Srikanth. He is an excellent player. He made me to run on the entire court as I was unable to understand in which direction he will hurl the shuttle.

I still need to learn to hit the shuttle at speeds and to get from one side of the court to the other extremely quickly…..

Again I missed an important occasion at home. Today’s is little champ first birthday and everyone in my family is in Lucknow except me…Not feeling good…

I always miss all the celebrations. Last year I celebrated Diwali alone. This year Holi and now Arnav’s first birthday. This time my tickets were booked from Pune but at the last moment some expected events happened at professional front so I postponed my travel…

After that I tried to find out some alternatives from Hyderabad. But couldn’t get anything…

Tomorrow is going to be a hectic day for me. I have to attend some client calls and work on some deliverables. Now day’s life has really remained limited to work and office only. I desperately need some change!!!

Another Experiment!!!

Today I have no intentions of updating my blog. But I am updating it because I have to wake till 12 am to wish my sister for her birthday and it is the best way to keep me awake. For me the most difficult task in this world is to wake up till midnight.

Today I did nothing special. In the afternoon, went to the hyper city with Swati to buy monthly groceries. Then in the evening decided to do some experiment in cooking as every Sunday our cook take a half day break from work :-) :-)

In the fridge I saw capsicum. It reminded me of my mother recipe of stuff potato capsicum curry. My mother is the world’s best cook. She prepares very delicious food. Somehow I manage to recall her recipe and decided to take the risk :) :)

Dissected Capsicum ;-)

Potato stuffing

Stuffed capsicum
Net result (Final curry) :) :)
The curry which was prepared after doing some experiments in spices was not bad in taste!!!
It’s 12 am now. Time to disturb my sister from sleep…..

Today I went to dermatologist in Apollo for acne problem. When I entered his room, he said your face resembles with one of the Hindi movie actress “Genelia”. I simply laughed at him as he was a very senior doctor. Then he replied that don’t laugh you can ask any one of your close friends regarding the same.

I don’t know whether He is right or not as I never bother about all these stuffs nor do I have some specific choices in actor/actress. But I will never forget this incident in life because getting such kind of compliments from a doctor is a rare thing ;-) ;-) ;-)

I tried a lot to find alternative ways for my travel to Lucknow for Arnav’s birthday next week. But failed. So finally I postponed my trip to next month. I will not repeat such mistake again as I learned that always plan your travel in advance. Don’t wait till the last moment …

I am standing alone in the balcony
Totally lost in my own thoughts, listening to the music
Music of air in the utter silence....

Want to appreciate the beauty of the full moon night
Want to shiver when a cold breeze strikes straight to my face
But instead of enjoying the weather I am thinking about you…

Recalling the moments I spent with you….
Still confused regarding my feelings
Whether that was love or infatuation….

I wish you could be here with me
I closed my eyes; you appear standing in front of me
I am feeling so complete with you so near
Holding my hands in your hands and looking at me silently….
