My Bag is again packed....

My bag is again packed as today I am going to Pune. Train timing is odd. It’s 2.40 pm; so opted for work from home. The main advantage of doing work from home is that side by side you can do blogging and social networking too… :-) :-)

I am feeling great because for four days I will get freedom from sitting in front of computer continuously.

Yesterday during tea time one of my colleagues discussed about grade system in my organization and moreover he is very clear about his future aspirations. I always feel blank whenever I think about my career plans because I don’t want to make a long term career in IT sector. It is impossible for me to imagine myself sitting in front of a computer for long periods at the age of 40-45 :-) :-)

After certain years I will look forward to make my career in some other field which involves creativity/imagination… But before executing this alternative plan, I want to experience all challenging phases of IT consultancy :-) :-)

Chef Neha....

Now days during the daytime you cannot step outside the home because of burning weather in Hyderabad. So today, for time pass I ended up in cooking, sleeping, and cleaning my room!!!

I had prepared Matar paneer curry and Biryani and they were positively fabulous.  After coming to Hyderabad only, I realized that I am not a bad cook at all. But I hate when someone asks me do you know cooking?  I always give a negative reply to all such silly questions :-) :-)

I am very much excited about next weekend as I am going to Pune for four days and again after 2.5 months I will meet my entire family!!!

I am also excited about my new task in the field of Interior decoration. I have selected 2-3 decoration themes for my sister’s new home. Let’s see which theme will be finally executed by me!!!

BTW following are the pics of the food I have prepared ;-) ;-)

WHY I LOVE HYDERABAD??

Very often I have to answer this question to my friends and family members because of the circumstances that happened to me during last four months.  My life went like a film story during the months of January and February.  Thank god now everything is going smoothly as there is no villain or vamp in my life :-) :-)

I left this city in the first week of January and again I came back here in mid February. During this phase, my life has been changed entirely. I realized many facts, faced many challenges and went through much dilemma.  Now I can truly say that I don’t believe in any future planning as life can be changed at any moment!!!

Well yesterday my friend called me and asked me this question “Neha what forced you to come to this city again. Are you falling in love with any south Indian guy”?? I just laughed at her.  First time I realized that my comeback can also be linked with any  guy :-) :-)

I don’t know the exact reason why I love this city. But yeah it is true that I always feel comfortable here as I found not much difference in the culture of Lucknow and Hyderabad….

I love this city may be because of some very good friends over here. I don’t want to name them in my blog but they mean a lot to me and I cannot imagine my life without them. I still remember when I got my first offer from one of the IT Company in Bangalore; I got scolding from one of my closest friends and an ultimatum of one month for finding another job in Hyderabad only. May be because of their wishes only, I unexpectedly came back here within one month of leaving…

One of my closest friends. I cannot imagine my life without her in Hyderabad
I love this city may be because  I got my first job here. I came here in Nov. 2009 with lots of dreams in my eyes. Professionally I learned many things...
My previous organization colleagues. I will never forget the time I spent with them...
May be because of 401, I love this city. In 401, I learned how to live with different people with love and caring attitude. I am lucky that I got good flatmates who make my stay in Hyderabad memorable….

Well I think these are the main reasons for my love for this city. But I don’t have any plans to permanently settle over here.  I will try to relocate to North India after sometime. Let's see when that time will come :-) :-)

Be true to yourself

“Just be true to yourself, follow your gut instincts on what you want to do and what makes you happy”

(I don’t know the author of the above quote as I have taken it from Facebook. It was posted by one of my friends there)

We often live our lives according to what others expect from us. Unfortunately in the course of meeting those expectations, we often forgot to listen to our heart or what we really want in life.

I think the best way to find out what you really want in life or what makes you happy is to follow what your inner voice tells you. For this; spend some time alone and jot down all the points that are bothering or preventing you from taking any decisions. Start making decisions based on your real wishes not for the sake of the image you have created in front of the other’s person. Just Believe in yourself and follow your intuition which often gets drowned in the practical thoughts of mind. You will definitely feel better. JUST BE TRUE TO YOURSELF.....

BTW, today weather is awesome in Hyderabad. There is a cold breeze flowing outside.  I am going to terrace for a walk ;-) ;-)

My Top Five Stress Busters...

In this modern life, it is very difficult stay happy all the time. Isn’t it?

Now days, life is full of commitments, deadlines, meetings, work- family pressure and so on. At the end of the day I guess everyone feels stressed/ exhausted.

I am trying to jot down my top five activities which I always try to do, whenever I feel tensed.....

1. Listening to good music: This activity really works!!! Believe me. Whenever I feel low, I went to a place where I will not be disturbed by anyone and plug in my earphones and listen to my favourite songs.

Here is one of my favourite songs. I love this song as it reminds me to love/respect all the special relations/people/moments in life....

(It’s an awesome song sung by Kishore Kumar. Do hear it.....)

2. Meditation: It is another good technique for stress busting. Daily I do mediation for 10-15 minutes in the morning.

3. Friends:  I am lucky that I am blessed with some special people in my life with whom I can share my moments of happiness and sorrows.  I feel relaxed whenever I talk to them.

4. Spend some time alone: This is the most common technique which I follow. Whenever my mood is off because of some problem, I prefer to spend some time alone and try to listen to my heart. This technique helps in various ways. It prevents me to show my bad mood to others as I firmly believe that if you are feeling low then it’s your problem. You cannot spoil the mood of another person by showing mood fluctuations/ tantrums....

5. Blogging: How can I forget that for me blogging is another way of removing stress? I love blogging. In fact whenever I feel tensed, I start reading blogs of some of the people whose blogs I follow....

Stress is not good for health. But in today’s hustle-bustle of life, it is very difficult to separate it from our life.

So, friends what are you waiting for...You can also list out activities that act as a stress buster for you. Just like I did :-) :-)

Employed Vs Unemployed.....

Today finally after a gap of two months, again salary is credited in my account. I am happy because now at least I don’t have to utilize my previous savings for meeting my expenses which are growing high day by day :) :) :)
I am lucky that in these four months, I have enjoyed both the phases of a career that are employed as well as unemployed.
I cannot comment which phase is better because it again varies from person to person. But of course I enjoyed both the phases.
What I feel is that it is very important to take regular break from work especially for unlucky person like me whose main job is to sit in front of a computer and do various mental exercises there :) :) :)

The Moments Part II.......

Year 2012 brings many unforgettable moments for me. I took a long break from work, met many people, realized various facts and traveled a lot.

I developed a new interest as well i.e. to capture any moment/objects that I feel to be remembered or cherished.....

Here is the photo blog post which incorporates a few of my favorite clicks, which I took during my January- February trip to Delhi-Lucknow-Rampur-Bangalore......
