Gold is a precious metal, which glitters beautifully. But it does not mean that everything that glitters is gold. Outwardly a man may look innocent but he may be cruel at heart. The face is not the index of the mind. Appearances are generally deceptive. A person with a beautiful face may hide an ugly heart. Sometimes, a gentle hearted person appears to be a rogue. But in fact he is not. The face does not speak anything about the mind.
Real beauty is not the physical beauty all the time. It lies in the human character and the heart. Physical beauty is short lived; it fades away too soon. The beauty of the heart on the other hand gives eternal joy, in which an overgrowing gentle heart and nobility of character are the hallmarks of one’s personality.
The real test of man lives in his deeds and his words; in his character and not in his appearance. A highly fashionable person may be mistaken to be a stupid rustic. We should be guided by the factual thing and not by the fictitious looks. We should not accept things as they appear but know them thoroughly before we accept them.
